The LeRoy Christian Church and other local churches, as well as local businesses and individuals provide collaborative support for this community LeRoy Benevolence Ministry. This ministry provides financial assistance to people who live within the Empire Township. Along with this short-term help, the ministry also provides long-term help by way of basic financial information on setting up budgets, other charitable organizations in the county, etc. The financial aid includes monies to help with utility bills, rent payment, etc. The funds are sent directly to those institutions and businesses, not to those who ask for help. In order to be fair to all those in need, the ministry limits the amount of assistance and how often the benevolent aid is given. |
