Busy! Busy!

This week Joe is at Little Galilee, High School Main 2 Camp. He will be coming home for Family Production, which will perform tonight (Wed) at 7:00 pm. This is your last chance until the fall to come out and enjoy this fun evening with your friends and families. We hope to see you there!

Two upcoming fun events on the calendar for Jr./Sr. highers are the pool party on July 27 at the Calhouns and the "Day at the Beach" on August 2 at Glasaner Beach. See Joe to sign up and for more details.

VBS is only 2 weeks away (Aug 3-8)! Registration is still going on. You can register at Church or online at: www.vacationbibleschool.com/LeRoyChristianChurch

We still have need for a few good men and women to volunteer for VBS. We have several helping with crafts and music, but still need some people to teach a class, run and help with games, and guide individual groups of kids. If you'd like to help, contact Joe or Laura.

Our first meeting for teachers, helpers, etc. is Sunday, July 27 at 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Please make every effort to be there!

Items we need to borrow for VBS

Picnic tables (adult of kid size)
Potted plants
Sand boxes
Sand box toys
Gardening tools
Croquet sets
Volleyball set
Little Tykes playhouse
Toy lawn mowers
Red/white checked table cloths

If you can help us out with any of these items, let Joe or Laura know, and arrangements can be made to pick the items up if needed.

In keeping with the Community Outreach theme of VBS, throughout the week of VBS we will be collecting for three mission projects:

Food Pantry. An updated list of food item needs for the Food Pantry will be sent home with the kids.
Youth Projects. We will collect empty pop cans to recycle. The $$ will go to youth projects.
Mercy Fund and Benevolent Fund. Money offerings will be split between the Mercy Fund (travelers) and the Benevolent Fund (local people in need).
